Developing the abdominal muscles is one the hardest among all fitness goals. It takes a lot of dedication, patience and hard work to do it. However, once you see your abdominals showing up, it really is worth it.

Burger King in Timog Avenue in Quezon City
Texas Roadhouse Grill
Texas Roadhouse Grill is one of our favorite restaurants in Ortigas Center. We frequent this place almost weekly. We love their salads, sandwiches, fish fillet, Jessie James sampler, Santa Fe nachos, wraps, pork belly and of course the pork hock. We also love their dessert. We also love the service that they provide. Staff are always friendly and attend to our table all the time.
Dog Workout on the Treadmill
Dogs, like us, need exercise too. They need to be walked on a daily basis especially if they live with us inside our condos or inside our houses.
However, because of our busy schedules, most of us don't have time to do this. Our dogs then become fat and sickly.
There is one alternative to this. A great workout on the treadmill!
Walking on a treadmill takes a lot of patience and caution as your dogs might be scared of the machine or they fall off or get injured. Unless you are so sure that your dogs will behave and will have a good walk on the treadmill, please do not attempt to do this. However, if the dogs are behaved, both you and your dogs will have fun working out together!
See this video of our friend with her babies!

Guard Strikes Dog with Golf Club
I was watching television last night in the gym when I saw the report about a security guard hitting to death a dog in a university. I researched some more and I found this article from Interaksyon.com
"Pasalubong" from La Union
According to wikipedia, “Pasalubong” is the Filipino tradition of giving a homecoming gift. Literally, it is a Tagalog word meaning “(something) meant for you when you welcome me back”. It is one of the most distinct and widely practiced of all Filipino traditions. Pasalubong can be any gift or souvenir or a delicacy brought for family, loved ones, friends, coworkers after being away for a period of time, after a short trip or vacation or going to a province or a foreign land.
In La Union, we stopped by to get some pasalubong. As we were looking for some delicacies, we found this line of huts of garlic, different kinds of dried fish and squid, "bagoong" or fish sauce, "basi" or rice wine, brooms and "ube" yam.

Battling rope, battle rope or combat rope is a gadget used for conditioning and strength training. As a fitness professional, I use it as part of my cardiovascular endurance training and circuit training.

American Idol Season 11 in Manila
I was an avid fan before. I was cheering for Jessica Sanchez, of course. Voted most of the weeks for her so won't be eliminated. For hours using our Vonage phone, I kept on dialling and promoted her numbers on facebook so she could just win. Well, the rest is history.
Now that she is here in the country for the American Idol Season 11 tour to do a series of concerts and shows, I was hesitant to go and watch. I guess the fever was over for me but for the rest of the Philippines it is not over yet. I heard the shows have been sold out and throngs of people definitely will line up for them. Like the AI Season 10 fever last year, the Filipinos are waiting once again for the coming of their Idols, even not for Jessica. I know there are Philip fans too and because Filipinos are loving people, they won't care if Jessica just placed second behind Philip. What is important now is that they will be seeing all their Idols right here in the country.
For me, the fever subsided a few weeks after the show. I will be waiting for my next fever, maybe if Jessica will release her single soon or when season 12 airs once again. But for now, let the country celebrate the coming of the American Idol Season 12 finalists and let them scream at the top of their lungs once again!

Finding Beauty Using Macro Photography
Sometimes the most beautiful things can't be seen by the naked eye. Sometimes, one has to get a camera and zoom in to a very small object to capture the tiniest detail that we normally don't see.
Macro photography for me is fascinating. Although I am no expert, and still am practicing, there are so much things to learn and enjoy!

LTO Car Registration Renewal
Today, we had our car registered again. In the Philippines, car registration is scheduled based on the last number of the plate number. Our car ends with 9 so it is due this September.
We went to LTO in Kapitolyo, Pasig for our annual registration. First we went to the Emission Test place inside where they tested our car's emission and paid P430 for it. Then, we went and paid around P950 for the insurance.

Are You Buying the New iPhone 5?
Three weeks ago, Globe Telecom emailed us and asked if we want to pre order Apple's iPhone 5. My iPhone 4 and Jeffrey's iPhone 4S really need a replacement now (well, more for me), so of course we ordered for both us.
iPhone5 was hyped once again during its press release last September 12, 2012. Many has been predicting that it will be the greatest selling gadget of all time. Just last year, iPhone 4S came out which was identical to iPhone 4 that came out a year before it. It will be out on the market on the 21st of September, and here in the Philippines, maybe end of October or even November of this year.
Discovery Country Suites in Tagaytay City
Last week, we decided to have a quick trip to Tagaytay City, in Cavite. This place is a one and a half drive from Manila, well depending on the traffic. It was a weekday, so we were thinking that the hotel would be deserted and we booked immediately after lunch time, packed our things and left Manila.
From Ortigas Center, we were on EDSA in no time, then took the South Luzon Expressway- Skyway. We didn't take the Sta. Rosa exit as we knew that traffic would be bad there because of the jeepneys and tricycles. Instead, we took the Greenfield Exit past Sta. Rosa and headed towards Paseo de Sta. Rosa mall, were we turned left towards the Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road.
