Seven Corners, Crowne Plaza Manila

The Seven Corners Buffet in Crowne Plaza was highly recommended to us by friends. Since were are buffet afficionados, of course we expect a lot: from the servers and from the dishes that it will offer.

Unfortunately, we were disappointed with a lot of things.

First, nobody greeted and guided us to a table. It was 6pm, the time the restaurant would open for their dinner buffet, but nobody was manning the front desk. After 2 minutes, we decided to enter and complained to one of the chefs manning the pizza counter. After 2 more minutes of standing, at last somebody attended to us.

Like in any buffet, as soon as they say that the tables are open, we expected that everything will be in place. Unfortunately only the salad section was open. We asked the 2 chefs who were just standing behind their counters and they said that the servers and waiters were still out on their breaks. Wow!

Disappointed we just slowly munched on our salads and waited again.

A few minutes later it seems that nobody will tell us that every counter was open so we just decided to go to each and checked everything. There was the asian and western cuisine section, the pizza, bread and cheese section and the dessert section. The only Filipino food there was the lechon de leche which was not even served yet while we were there (for an hour and a half of stay).

Ok, since we felt that nobody was friendly enough in the restaurant, we then decided to leave, spending P4,200 for 2 people plus P270 for valet parking.

We promised not to come back and recommend the restaurant to our friends.
